I have been practising massage for 11 years, a change in direction after having two children, Jack and Emma, while living in London.
I worked with The London Wasps Rugby Team from 2002-2005 when they were the most successful team in Europe and was lucky enough to work with five of the England World Cup winning players from the Wasps’ squad.
Before relocating to Dorset I spent two years at The Royal Ballet, working with Darcey Bussell and Carlos Acosta at Covent Garden and in their respective tours.
In my private practice I work with a wide variety of people from sporty teenagers to my oldest lady client who, at 96 years young, “likes to keep on top of things”!
I don’t believe there is a single person who would not benefit from massage in some way. There need not be a specific injury; life takes its toll and we all deserve to feel better. Most of us don’t realise how achy we are, distracted as we are by so many other issues, we forget to prioritise our own wellbeing. We owe it to ourselves to take better care of ourselves and we should be inspired by the 96 year old lady I have been treating for the last 6 years. She has recovered from a broken hip and regularly does ‘her exercises’!”
In 2007 I relocated to Dorset with my second husband Neill. We love Dorset life and now share a daughter together, Betsy. It’s a busy life: we farm chicken and each study. I am studying acupuncture.
In my spare time I enjoy running, swimming and walking our three dogs. I have completed two London Marathons (with a PB of 3.33 hours), numerous half marathons and am returning to running with the BUPA 10k in London this May.
I joined the Glencairn House team in January 2008, building a steady client base amongst the local community. Following maternity leave, I am available on Friday afternoons and by appointment at Edwards Farm, Shaftesbury.
My massage style is a blend of Swedish and Sports and with my experience is uniquely my own, all my clients tend to report a change is their wellbeing. My massage is pretty deep, thorough and instinctive, sometimes dealing with pain but always for the good of the end result.
“It is the way I feel after the treatment that I look forward to!” (Comment from a regular!)
