Born in Scotland I have lived in Dorset since 2004 and have two young sons.
On leaving school I went to Sandhurst and spent three years as a British Army Officer rising to the rank of Captain. This was followed by a degree at Strathclyde University and managerial positions with Britain’s largest advertising agencies. In 1998 I entered the College of Osteopaths graduating in June 2003, the only pupil to be awarded a distinction in final year exams. Following a time working for osteopaths in the Southend area I moved to Dorset in 2004 and began work at Glencairn House in March of that year.
I am interested in treating patients from a wide variety of backgrounds and ages, using a gentle direct structural approach encompassing direct hands-on techniques including soft tissue, muscle energy and manipulation. I am a qualified naturopath and am also qualified in dry needling technique which I employ to great effect in the treatment of tension headaches and sciatica. I have also developed an interest in the Perrin Technique, a manual approach encompassing the use of lymphatic drainage, cranio-sacral and traditional structural osteopathy for the treatment of M.E. /chronic fatigue syndrome.
