Reflexology is a complementary therapy that promotes well-being by helping an individual to restore and maintain their natural balance. I practise the Original Ingham Method of Reflexology which is considered by some to be the best in the world.
Reflexology is based on the principle that all areas of your body, including glands and organs, are linked to specific areas of your feet and hands known as reflexes. As a professional Ingham Method (IIR) trained reflexologist, I apply pressure to these reflexes which can help to relieve stress and tension, and help the body reach its natural balance.
Having experienced the benefits of Reflexology personally after being diagnosed with a serious illness, I decided to train in the Original Ingham Method as a Reflexology practitioner with the renowned International Institute of Reflexology (IIR UK). I was very keen for others to experience the benefits that I’d experienced with Reflexology as a complementary therapy alongside conventional medicine when my health had not been great.
It’s been a good few years since I qualified (2010 to be precise), but it’s still important to me that I keep up to date with the latest Reflexology techniques by regularly attending seminars and training courses. Continuous professional development widens my knowledge and ensures I can give you the best possible Reflexology treatment. Having recently left the corporate world, I am fully aware of the stresses and strains of modern working life and can’t emphasise enough how Reflexology can help you relax.
I am a member of the Association of Reflexologists, as well as a member of the Register of Advanced Reflexologists, and VRT network. In June 2017, I qualified as a Nerve Reflexologist.
Away from feet, we are still(!) renovating our cottage near the coast. I can’t imagine living anywhere else.
